Leather, a natural and vibrant material, offers a comfort of use very different from materials such as metal and silicone. It usually fits on the middle or ring finger. Gradually, the leather thimble will take the shape of your finger, so you will forget that it is even there! Ideal for pushing the needle through the fabric without risk of injury. The base of the thimble is reinforced with a non-slip metal tip to prevent the needle from slipping or passing through the thimble. The sizing on this is a bit weird. It says it's 15,5mm yet it fits tighter on my middle finger than the silicone thimble from Bohin which is 14mm. The quality of the product is very good but I'm quite bummed about the bad fit. I'd advise sizing up if you're right on the cusp of the measurement or unsure about what size to get because I do find it runs a bit smaller than advertised.
