KAI tailor's scissors are made from a stainless alloy of high quality metals such as vanadium which gives their cutting edge an exceptional longevity. The use of vanadium in the steel makes it harder and more resistant to abrasion.
Before being covered, the metal branches are assembled in one piece giving the pair of these professional scissors a perfect balance.
KAI professional scissors are equipped with a new double fixing with pivot nuts that cannot be unscrewed during cutting, even for difficult work.
The ergonomic branch rings are covered with an "Elastomer" mixture offering great working comfort for your sewing work.
These JAPANESE scissors have been manufactured in the purest Japanese tradition for over 100 years. The blades are made of high carbon stainless steel - they last a long time and have exceptional cutting performance. The blades of these scissors are nested to the end of the handles, allowing great stability and better cutting precision. Tension adjustment screws allow easy adjustment of tension.
AUS8A blades (hardness 58±1 HRC) are 3.7 mm- 4 mm thick.
KAI tailoring scissors feature an elegant matte anti-reverberation surface and a patented "duplex interlock" fastening device, which does not loosen easily. The screws are treated and tempered to 45±1 HRC.
The 7000 Series received the IF Design Award 2005.
