Close a jacket edge to edge with Brandenburg buttons
Embroidery or sewing thread, sewing needles and our pretty fastener buttons! That's all you need to stay warm this winter.
Sold in packs of 6, our clothing buttons in classic colors will easily fit on your jackets and vests. Ideal for giving character to your creations, our trimmings will bring a touch of fantasy to your clothes. These frogs work in pairs. The 6.5 cm frogs have 5 pretty loops, and are made up of a button formed by the knot and the strap. The strap is attached around the knot.
Place the frogs on either side of the garment. You will need to sew the first element of the frog: the closure part. It must be sewn on the outside of your jacket. You can pin it so that the operation is easier and the fabrics do not move, then proceed to sew, using our BOHIN needles of course! And an invisible or tone-on-tone thread, which you will also find on our online haberdashery.
Then you will need to sew the other part of the frog in the same way, making sure that the two buttons are positioned face to face. For hand sewing, here's how to do it: pass the thread over the entire width of the frog fastener and so on until you've gone all the way around it or lightly stitch on the edge of the cord for a more discreet job. A thimble or the 3-in-1 needle puller will be very useful.
